When should I contact you to plan my weekend ?

To guarantee optimal organization, we recommend that you contact us at least 10 working days before your departure. This will enable us to understand your needs and make the necessary reservations with our partners. If you choose to handle the bookings yourself, 5 working days will be enough.

How do I know if I'll enjoy the trip ?

After completing our online questionnaire, a member of TheWeekender team will contact you by phone to discuss your tastes, preferences and expectations. This step will enable us to personalize your weekend by selecting the addresses and activities that best match your desires.

What’s included (and not included) in TheWeekender’s offer ?

Included services :

  • Research and recommendation of accommodations, activities, bars and restaurants
  • Booking of these elements upon client approval (optional)
  • A detailed Travel Diary with all the information you need about your stay
  • An interactive digital map with recommended itineraries and addresses (included with the booking option)

Excluded services :

  • Transportation (reservation of plane and train tickets, etc.)
  • Transfers
  • Costs associated with recommended or booked accommodations, activities, bars and restaurants
  • Personal expenses on site

Can you accommodate allergies or special diets ?

Absolutely ! At TheWeekender, we take dietary restrictions very seriously. We offer “allergy-friendly” addresses tailored to your specific needs, whether they involve food allergies, intolerances or special diets. Our co-founders, who have severe allergies themselves, are particularly sensitive to this issue.

When and how will I receive my Travel Diary ?

You will receive your digital Travel Diary within 7 working days after your payment. It will be accessible via a personalized link, which you can follow throughout your weekend.

Can I make changes to my Travel Diary before departure ?

Yes, you can request changes to your weekend (dates, number of people, activities, etc.). The first modification is free of charge. From the second request onwards, a fee of CHF 50 will be applied. Major changes (destination, duration, travel period, etc.) will be considered as a new order and invoiced as such.

What happens if I need to cancel my weekend ?

If you need to cancel up to 10 days before departure, we can modify your Travel Diary and offer to reschedule the weekend under the same conditions within 4 months of the original departure date.

Note: Any cancellation or modification fees charged by the final service providers (e.g., accommodations, restaurants, etc.) will be the responsibility of the client.

Any change of destination, duration or number of travelers will be considered as a new order and invoiced accordingly.

Cancellations or modifications made within 10 days of travel must be handled by the client at their own cost.

Do I need to provide ID and bank details ?

To organize your weekend and make certain reservations, we will need your ID and bank details. Your personal data will be stored on secure servers to ensure its privacy and protection.

When and how do I make the payment ?

Following your discovery call with a member of TheWeekender team, you will receive your final quote with our different payment options. You have 48 hours to make the payment and confirm your order.

We accept payments by :

  • Bank transfer, via the IBAN provided on the quotation
  • Credit card, via a secure payment link
  • TWINT or REVOLUT

NB: Payments can be made in Swiss Francs (CHF) or Euros (EUR). Please ensure you use a valid payment method for your country and you provide accurate details before completing the transaction.

What if I want to visit a destination that is not listed on your site ?

At TheWeekender, we carefully select our destinations to guarantee unforgettable experiences. Our strategy is to offer only destinations we know well and where we have one or more Local Insider(s). However, if your dream destination isn’t listed, don’t hesitate to reach out ! We might be working on it behind the scenes, or we could also recommend another destination that you’ll love just as much.
